Failed to read index block #139

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I open Windows Explorer
2. I go to the Snake network connection
3. I see the name of the disk, the name of partition, but don´t see the
folders in it.
4. Snake log shows

Mar 3 17:36:21 ntfs-3g[298]: ntfs_attr_pread_i: ntfs_pread failed: Input/output
error
Mar 3 17:36:21 ntfs-3g[298]: Failed to read index block: Input/output error
Mar 3 17:37:17 kernel: sd 0:0:0:0: Device not ready.
Mar 3 17:37:17 kernel: end_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 0

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
- To see the folders of the disk on NAS

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
SNAKE OS V1.3.2 (20101130)
Windows XP Professional

Please provide any additional information below.
Some times i can see (and access) the folders in the disk on NAS, but most time
i can´t.
To solve the problem i must unmount and mount the disk again.

how long does this start to occur after you restart the machine? sometimes when
the memory eats up thru time, it becomes too slow to read large hdd. So you
need to restart it once in about 3 days, that is pretty normal, just like your
computer.
