Flash card not mounting on LN-86BT #171

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load new LN-86BT with snakeos 1.3 'from original'
2. format an 8gb flash card EXT3
3. place the flash card in card reader on the front of device
4. Try to mount drive using interface.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Drive should mount and I can use it as a swap drive. I do not see any
indication that the os knows it's there.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
snakeos-V1.3.2-20101130-from-original

Please provide any additional information below.
Card is formatted EXT3 and tested as working.

Same problem here with a 8Gb Sandisk extreme (20mb/s). Card is tested and works
properly.
Any fixes for this? It's annoying.

Can anyone report ANY card working? I'd be happy to get another card if I know
it will work.

Only other card I could put to work is a Kingston of 2Gb. Anyways, 2gb are
almost useless...

Thank you jpis! Card ordered and on it's way here. 2gb is enough for a swap.

Card arrived and the 2gb drive worked fine. This proves that the card reader
hardware didn't have any problems. The original firmware will handle up to 16gb
drives and so this implies that snakeos is to blame here.

With the latest SnakeOS installed I have just formatted a 32GB SDHC-card
without problems.

I guess it depends on the card? I assume thecrazydiver was using the latest
version as well.

I'm running SNAKE OS V1.3.2 (20111019) and, to be honest, I was a bit surprised
that it just formatted when I asked it to.
