SAMBA - Can't access drive from Explorer #194

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

I am having a problem when trying to access the drive locally.
When I open the Windows explorer and access the NAS, the login page
comes up. Then I supply the username and password specified in SAMBA but it
denies it. I also tried loging in with \\NAS\Username so to specify that the
domain is the NAS but still nothing happened.

Any help please???

I don't have win 7 and this may sound silly, but have you tried to restart
windows?

XP seems occasionally need that when the samba settings are changed.

I can access the usb drive via ftp but not through any file manager, either
from linux (ubuntu 12.10) or windows (xp).
I can see the NAS (as SNAKE) but can't then click though to reveal the drive.
Not sure if this is a password issue - it doesn't accept what I take to be the
password and allowing anonymous access to samba in the webconfig doesn't help
either.
Any ideas?
