Opkg disk is not available #226

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Navigate to Services/Opkg
2. Open drop down menu and ensure it's empty - (current: )
3. Try to tick "Enable Opkg" and press Apply
4. Observe "/bin/sh: /etc/init.d/opkg: not found"
please see attachments

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I'm thinking that I had to have my 2,5" HDD to come up in drop down menu to
store opkg packages there. Instead I see no disk.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
snakeos-V1.3.2-20111019, was going to install Transmission 2.42

Please provide any additional information below.
I updated my K330 to the latest SnakeOs build and cannot deploy Transmission
because of mentioned behavior, could anyone help?
P.S. I have changed HDD name from stock "sda1" to "media", hope that couldn't
be the cause.

Did you load an old config? That could explain why it's not finding
/etc/init.d/opkg and why it's showing blanks.

After ticking "enable opkg" the drop down menu should be selectable.. it then
still doesn't list your disk?

Does the disk show up on the swapfile page? It uses the same mechanism to find
disks.

Hi Stefan, thanks for so quick reply, yes I can select my disk for swapping,
please see one more screenshot. And still cannot select the disk for opkg. And
yes, you are right, I imported old config... do you think reset will help?

It's definitely worth a try.

I still don't see how a bad config could prevent your disk from showing up in
the drop down though.

Totally agree..
I had same issue because of old config which was saved on fw version of
20101130.
Just try to reset config.

Just had the same thing happen ; so in other words, the saved config file is of
absolutely no use to restore the (existing) config after upgrade? Dang...now I
have to manually reconfigure the whole shamozzle...{sigh}... so either this
gets fixed, or we may as well remove save config altogether?...

..tried to find the 'star icon' to click on here..??..couldn't find it ;)

It depends on what changed between versions.

Maybe there should be a version check when loading a config.
