ssh/telnet freeze when typing #254

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. connect to NS-K330 via ssh or telnet
2. start typing commands or write something in vi editor
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see and execute what I type in terminal window but after sometime
it freezes when typing and buffers the key presses then reloads after few
minutes

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
SNAKE OS V1.3.2

Please provide any additional information below.
No problem when opening another ssh or telnet session at the same time it is
frozen.
No CPU overload observed in web interface when problem happens.
Ftp transfer is always fine.
I tried connecting with different operating systems and terminal clients, all
same.
I have not tried changing router or using direct connection, not sure if it is
something with router itself?

I have exactly the same issue, I tried both,
snakeos-V1.3.2-20111007 and
snakeos-V1.3.2-20111019

A perhaps related issue is a slowing down of the time it takes to ssh into the
box, or NFS to mount the share.

Any insight will be greatly appreciated

I still have this issue, it is really annoying when happens.
In my case there is no NFS mount btw.
I suspect about the router that blocks ssh packets but did not have chance to
check with another one.

Anybody who can comment on this?

Thanks

I also problem but can confirm its not a router issue. Ive tested on two
different brands of routers also different firmwares on the router including
dd-wrt with all security removed.

Just my opinion but suspect its happening more frequently in
snakeos-V1.3.2-20111019

Do you have transmission running?

More frequently compared to which version?

For me, no it locks with little running during the day when im awake. Daemons
run during the night when I have no speed caps.

I stop all services including transmission (except ssh for sure) but problem
still happens.

The versions I used are as following,
- snakeos-V1.3.2-20101130
- snakeos-V1.3.2-20111123 (my own build based on svn R375)
Both have problem..
