Guide to running this on Steam Deck. #1

Basically just what the title asks. I noticed you have a bot the John MFN Romero account running an instagib lobby. I want to do that as well.

  1. Download and unzip the pak0.pak file
  2. Rename the pak0.pak file to pak1.pak
  3. Make sure there is an id1 and mpmod folder in steamapps>common>Quake>rerelease (The id1 folder should have a music folder and pak0.pak file in it and the mpmod folder should be empty.)
  4. Put the pak1.pak in steamapps>common>Quake>rerelease>id1 (Don't replace anything in the id1 folder if you've done it correctly the id1 folder should have a music folder, pak0.pak file, and pak1.pak file in it.)
  5. Boot up the game and open the Multiplayer menu
  6. Boot into either Online or Local Play (You must enter the Online or Local Play menu for step 7 to work DO NOT ENTER A MATCH.)
  7. Open the Command Console using the ` key and type game mpmod
  8. Exit the Command Console using the ` key (Stay in the Online or Local Play menu DO NOT BACK OUT.)
  9. Start up a Online or Local Play match
  10. The mod should be loaded
  11. If you want to use the mod in the campaign back out to the main menu and boot the Singleplayer menu as normal
