Epic games #217

The mod is not compatible with Epic games version of the game :_(

I've been using it with both steam and epic installed versions of the game.

What compatibility issue are you seeing?

I successfully start VR cockpit and I see control in the Steam VR space. But when I launch Elite with Launch in VR option the Oculus takes over and control disappears. When I return to steam VR the controls are still there. Maybe I am just launching it badly.

BTW I have Oculus Rift S

That sounds like an issue with Oculus, not an issue with the Epic store. Have you followed the OCULUS-WORKAROUND.md instructions? The overlay doesn't work at all on Oculus unless you force ED to run in SteamVR mode.

There are no instructions for finding the ED executable for the Epic store version so you'll be on your own finding that. Let me know how you find the path Epic installs ED to if you find it.

Working for me on quest 2 using link and VD I added the game as a non steam game. Set it to compatibility mode for windows 7 Got recognized and it's working

Hi, I had the same problem, and adding the EDLaunch.exe to Steam seams to resolve it. Thanks for your help.
