Brightness drop #4

Open markanini opened 1 year ago

I generated a profile with MHC2Gen and loaded them into Windows color management panel. Things work as expected except a massive brightness drop. Not sure if it's a bug or if the profile was generated with a non native white level. I can't find a command for this if that is the case.

command used: MHC2Gen sdr-csc "x:...path...\profile.icm" "MODEL CSC sRGB.icm"

MODEL CSC nosRGB.zip 24G2W1G4 #1 2022-03-25 21-31 S 3xCurve+MTX.zip

The profile looks good on my side. Would you mind running another profiling or verification on top of this calibration?

I will absolutely provide a verification report in the next days.

My brightness drop goes away by turning my display off and turning it back on again. Your tool is already useful for me, impressively works on fullscreen exclusive apps unlike DWMLUT!

Are there any options for TRC other than sRGB like gamma 2.2? If so, I will gladly test and post measurement reports of that too. EDIT: I tried MHC2Gen sdr-csc --source-gamut-icc=srgb-2.2.icm "x:...path...\profile.icm" "MODEL CSC g2.2.icm" srgb-2.2.icm is a synthetic profile with srgb primaries and pure gamma 2.2 TRC, but output looks to be the same.

I uploaded a video showing when the issue occurs and how I work around it: https://streamable.com/7ko54z

The mouse cursor in your video is still at its original brightness, so this seems to be an issue with your GPU driver.
