Hey Dan,

This isn't really an issue per se, but I like what you're doing here and wanted to know if you would like to collaborate on a project.

I like what you've done with thrash with serialization --we had the exact same idea, and are glad that you proved that it's faster. Also, we're not super happy with the Erlang thrift implementation as a base for Elixir, so we think we can do better, so we're making a complete Elixir thrift implementation from thrift parsing to model generation and server.

We've started the repo here: http://github.com/pinterest/elixir-thrift and the parser is here: https://github.com/pinterest/elixir-thrift/pull/6. There's a lot of work left to do, but I'm sure we can come up with something that's really excellent, and would love to have you along.

Hi Steve,

Sure, it would be good to collaborate. Do you have a slack channel or email or anything where we can discuss what that might mean?

scohen commented 8 years ago

Sure, I think my work email is public on my profile. If not, it's my first name at pinterest.com

@dantswain We've created a #thrift channel on elixir-lang.slack.com

Cool. Haven't had time to email yet. Can you add me to the #thrift channel? It's not showing up when I try to /join. I'm @dantswain
