Use external IP rather than Airport IP #132

I use dynamic dns which maps to my machine's external IP. In this way, I could
use the iPhone to
connect via 3G or another wireless internet, using the dynamic dns and hence
the external IP of my
machine.

Could you make iPhone Remote server use the external IP as opposed to the
Airport's IP?

Many thanks.

Have you forwarded the port? If not, I suggest using Port Map (
http://www.codingmonkeys.de/portmap/index.html ) It lets you use uPnP and
NAT-PnP to map/forward ports. I
use it in combination with DynDNS and telekinesis to make my computer
accessible from anywhere.

Awesome, done that, but now its coming off of a 192... address as well as the
10... address which it was. I want
it to be visible on my external, and hence visible with my DynDNS. Thanks so
much for your help so far!

I also use DynDNS. I downloaded Port Map but I have no idea what to do with it.
I just want to be able to use Telekinesis with my dynamic dns instead of ip

So, what do I do with Port Map?
