Question:Does automatic sync( via sync frequency set by user ) runs a full scan #17

I have a lot of manual links and Full scan erases them all. That's fine, but I want to know if the Automatic Sync ( which I have set as 1 day ) does a manual sync or a full sync. According to me it should not delete my manual links.

No, automatic syncs are not full syncs. (unless you recently switched the "Sync all contacts" option, which triggers a full sync - the next scheduled one) It should not (and in my tests and experience it does not) delete manual links.

In my case Sync all contacts is checked and the first automatic sync trigger would happen after 7-8 hours.. do you think I would again loose my manual links .. should i uncheck 'Sync all contacts' ?

No. It only triggers full sync when you change it. If it stays the same it should be fine.
