There is a great game for android: Slugs
It has many awards that could be archived

I would like something like if for andors trail:
 * Killed 100, 1000, 10000 Monsters
 * played the game 1, 10, 100 hours
 * killed a monster without attacking (hedgehog skill)
 * killed a monster with 1 HP left
 * walked 10, 100, 1000 meters in the game
 * sold 100, 1000, 10000 items
 * bought 50, 500, 5000 items
 * got 100, 500, 1000 xp in one fight (attacking several monsters)
 * got killed by first attacked monster after bed
 * deal 50, 250, 1000 damage without loosing hp
 * killed a monster without equipment
 * killed 10, 20, 30 monsters per minute
 * etc.

IMO awards are always a big motivator for a game.
It doesn't need to have an effect to the gameplay. Just have this list in the
game. The player will ask himself then. What awards may be there. I got 70% of
them...

Personally I find awards in games annoying and off putting. They always seem to
me to be a used to cover inadequacies in a game and get people to play bad
games longer, and are unnecessary in a good game.
They also make me play games after I have stopped enjoying them in order to
finish the achievements, at which point I leave the game for good, while I come
back to other games from time to time.
Completing the quests and levelling up should provide all the sense of
accomplishment you need. If they dont, that is a seperate problem. It shouldnt
be 'patched' with achievements.

Reading that back I realise it may have sounded a little personal. Appologies
if it does. I have quite strong feelings on the subject as I see a lot of
modern games putting in arbitrary challenges, usually requiring lots of
repetition, sometimes even of the entire game, instead of adding actual
gameplay.

No its a good point. And you stated that its your opinion.
I would like it, but I also think there are more important things. (Issue 5 for
example)

If it will be implemented we should tweak the awards so that they could be
easily archived when playing the game once. (Within the normal game time.)

Awards are not a super complex addition and most people like awards. There are
some completionist types that want to complete everything and get every award
so there are those factors to consider as well.
