All of the icons in /plugin/chrome/icons/default are 32x32 pixels. These work fine but can look a little grainy in some menuse and displays (e.g. alt-tabbing on a high resolution monitor). Let's try upgrading the size and see if that fixes it.
Dan, do you happen to have any larger size originals for the Perspectives icon?
