I know several team members are at the tail end of their holiday, but this continues to be a regular question that is asked nearly everyday if not more often. Another solution, that doesn't involve changing the web app's appearance, could be to change the server joining process to force people to read and agree to certain rules, and go over and review a list of FAQs that will answer the question about NODE harvesting/staking. Along with several other of the most commonly asked questions, why do I need to use a VPN? How do i check if VPN ports are open on my router, etc.
An idea could be to show the Claimable now and In Reservoir popup just one time (or check "do not show again"). Like this:
Taking into account that everything we do will be annoying for users who do know how the NODEstream works
Another idea:
I like your last suggestion best keeps it clean and shares the info nicely. While I liked your first suggestion, the concept of showing it once and then not again. I feel like it may still go unnoticed by some how just clicked it away without reading it or understanding that's how it all works going forward especially since the percentages change. I think the suggestion to always show the claimable now amount is a better option.
I'd appreciate if you could make a PR for that second option, still getting these questions literally everyday, sometimes the explanation can even lasts several days because they still don't get it until its shown to them or just want to argue about it for whatever reason. I think this from @mgarciate is a great solution is very clean: not obtrusive to those of us who already are well versed on how the NODEStream works etc., and also very clear that harvesting will only have that amount claimable now.
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
People have been asking incessantly about where their funds they've harvested have gone and while it’s super clear on the page already but maybe it should be made clearer by not even having to click the ? to see the amounts and rather just display that info all the time. The app interface is minimal visually already and it wouldn’t make much of a different to the aesthetic of the page. It’s very clean.
Describe the solution you'd like
Would be trivial to stop hiding that info behind a clickable button and instead keep it visible at all times on the page. The interface is minimal and clean and this would maintain that aesthetic but stop many of those who still misunderstand how harvesting staked LP tokens, NODE, and xNODE are distributed.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Other considerations would be to just have another link on the page that verbosely says how the Nodestream works without needing to read a medium article, but that would likely mess up the clean aesthetic already obtained for the app page.
Additional context
Just need to check the discord #nodestakers and #nodedrop channels the same question is asked nearly everyday and sometimes spills over into #general and #support where they can break up important information. These posters often also tag core devs demanding to know where their funds are while the information is all right in front of them just a click of the ? Away. If this suggested change is implemented that click will no longer be necessary and the info should stick out very clearly to all stakers.
