tikzDevice problem with R-4.2.0 #215

Dear tikz gurus, after installation of R-4.2.0, trying to run tikz, I came across a "graphics API mismatch" error; nothing short of returning to R-4.1.3 remedied the problem. I'd be very happy if someone could point me to an error I may have fallen subject to or some solution. Kind regards, Ernst

Dear tikz gurus,

deleting /usr/local/lib64/R , recompiling and reinstalling R-4.2.0 and all the nice packages I'm using all the time, including tikzDevice, solved the problem I have described above. I fail to grasp why reinstallation of tikzDevice alone has not led to this result, but I can accept my limited understanding of the details now that tikzDevice works like a charm with R-4.2.0. Many thanks to all of you, R and the many great packages, among them tikzDevice, are amazing!
