Can't open DJV

I'm unable to get DJV to open on my PC... The program doesn't appear at all when I open the program via the start menu, or by opening an EXR file with it.

This is at the bottom of the log:

2.0.8 won't open at all for me either. When I hover over the icon on the task bar just a white box appears in the preview popup. Sorry I'm not sure how to access the log file.

I'm having the same issue with 2.0.8. when I launch DJV it shows in the details tab of the Task Manager for a split second then closes. I cleared my logs and relaunched djv. This is the log. djv.log

Encountered the same issue. Launching it with djv -init_settings did fix it (you lose your old settings, but that's not a problem for me).

Thanks @azrafe7 this helped me figure out my problem. I was getting this error when trying to run your command.

ERROR: Error: Loading the OCIO profile 'C:\Program Files\Maxon Cinema 4D R25\plugins\C4DtoA\arnold\ocio\configs\arnold\config.ocio' failed. Unsupported transform type !<BuiltinTransform> in OCIO profile.

The is only in the arnold OCIO release so I just replaced the config.ocio with the config.ocio file from the ACES release.

Same here. This fixed it for me. DJV opened before but the setup screen feeled like 2fps. (running on Linux Mint)

I opened djv_info in command line and got this message. I dont understand how it determine path to profile file

You can add dialog window to output an error message

worked for me only once, now DJV does not start anymore, W11, yesterday it worked :/ I need an alternative

1. Open task manager
2. if it is showing up in task manager expand it.
3. right click on the smaller icon
4. then select maximize

if it still doesn't show up try minimize, then maximize.

I encountered this issue a few years ago. When I full screened DJV, then closed it, it was almost like it perceived another screen that wasn't there. If I tried re-opening the app it would place the app out of reach and wouldn't let me travel the app back to any of my other screens.
