Yay, I'm not the only one who didn't notice NaNoGenMo until late in November!

Do you have any ideas?

samtb commented 9 years ago

One idea I'd love to implement but feel it's outside of my abilities at the moment (though I'm still going to work on it) is to take a short story that is in the public domain and replace all of its nouns, verbs and adjectives with definitions from the 1913 webster's unabridged dictionary.

The other idea (the one I'm attempting first) is more of a brute-force approach where I'm using lists of categorized words and building various sentence structure definition, then stringing sentences together using some basic rules while trying to thread through key plot points and characters.

In short, I'm building a huge mess. How about you?

Sounds fun!

My only goal seems to be making novels that are difficult to read.

As somebody who is currently using templating to build short stories, I'd recommend going the dictionary route. Key plot points and characters is a lot bigger issue than it sounds.

BUT since I thought it would be easy, it demonstrably provable that I've been wrong before!
