In Dialogue #69

"In Dialogue" is a suite of scripts that can replace all the dialogue in one text with dialogue from another, while preserving the flow of the prose. The NaNoGenMo entry itself is in two parts: "Alice's Adventures in the Whale" and "Through the Prejudice Glass"

Most interesting! And as others have said -- très Oulipan. Reminds me of the S+7 algorithm (also known as n+7)

Your parser has some trouble with single-quotes and nested quotations -- see Through the Prejudice Glass paragraph 7 (not shown below - that's just a section I liked).

A further elaboration -- an elaborate elaboration -- would be to replace character and place names in the quotations with in-context names.

"I am grieved indeed," Tweedledee retorted contemptuously. "grieved--shocked. But is it certain--absolutely certain?"

"I am sorry, exceedingly sorry," added Tweedledum, "that you have ever been informed of what may, in a mistaken light, have given you uneasiness. I did not think Mrs. Gardiner was so little to be trusted."

"Were it certain that Lady Catherine would think so," Alice exclaimed indignantly. "but I cannot imagine that her ladyship would at all disapprove of you. And you may be certain when I have the honour of seeing her again, I shall speak in the very highest terms of your modesty, economy, and other amiable qualification."

"It would not be easy, indeed, to catch their expression, but their colour and shape, and the eyelashes, so remarkably fine, might be copied." said Tweedledum.

"Yes, I do comprehend a great deal in it." cried Tweedledee.

He shouted this so loud that Alice couldn't help saying, "As often as I can. But you know married women have never much time for writing. My sisters may write to me. They will have nothing else to do."

(Also... anybody care to do a swap between alice in wonderland and the swallows of summer?

I like this transformation. Since it operates at a layer higher than the more-expected text-swapping algorithms it sneaks up on you. The conversations make a certain sort of sense.
