Instead of the current base levels, have attribute points change with Soul Gem amount and tier. Include the options of Stamina and negative values as well.
An example of what this would let users do is set it so that Magicka goes up as the amount/tier of Soul Gems go up while simultaneously decreasing Stamina. This creates some player choice in whether to use the slots to continuously upgrade Soul Gems or keep max in max tiered Gems for the benefits they provide.
