I'd advice against touching Steam Workshop downloaders of any kind. These bypass license checks needed to use content from Workshop. Which is a grey area (at best) in legalty of this affair.
I'd suggest old, forgotten, god-forsaken CurseForge instead :)
Firts time I hear about CurseForge. I'll look into it. Thank you
CurseForge was the biggest hub for everything World of Warcraft & Minecraft related once. Then, someone decided that it'll be nice to stick with some bigger company, for everyone's convenience and faith in own future. Few years later, they're stuck suspended between Twitch (their former owner) and Overwolf (their current owner). But still, legendary (albeit specialized) site. Made more waves than numerous noname Workshop downloaders in modding community.
Nexus Mods Checker is a lovely extension, especially for anybody who has many games from GOG or Epic (in which case Nexus is one of our main source of mods).
If by chance you had the time and inclination to do something similar for:
Instead of a new extension my suggestion would be to change 'Nexus Mods Checker' into a 'Mods Checker' that lets the user decide which site(s) to check.
Thank you a lot for your work and for considering these suggestions. Cheers
