documentation problem for color calibration in version 4.6 #16533

Open Studiumph opened 8 months ago

Studiumph commented 8 months ago

Describe the bug

documentation problem: https://docs.darktable.org/usermanual/development/en/module-reference/processing-modules/color-calibration/ is not working, because button "auto-apply chromatic adaptation defaults" isn't available in ui.

Software and user manual are on version 4.6

Steps to reproduce

  1. open user manual: https://docs.darktable.org/usermanual/development/en/module-reference/processing-modules/color-calibration/
  2. Go to Headline "White Balance in the Chromatic Adaptation Transformation (CAT) tab"
  3. Finde passage with chromatic adaptation and follow the instruction (preferences > processing > auto-apply chromatic adaptation defaults) => the button "auto-apply chromatic adaptation defaults" is no where to be found

Expected behavior

show botton "called auto-apply chromatic adaptation defaults"

The manual didn't get updated on that - selecting workflow defaults other than "none" on the same tab implies modern chromatic adaptation, while "none" implies legacy white balance. It's documented in the page linked from the color calibration page, but clearly was overlooked here.

This is more likely to get resolved if you raise an issue in the dtdocs repository. I don't usually monitor this repo for user manual changes.
