Cool.... Thanks for that hint.... Not exactly what i am thought of, because everything except the mentioned areas disappear, but it is something, i can work with.... Thanks..... :-)

Describe the solution you'd like It would be nice to have an indicator in the Waveform, Histogram, etc. if you mousover a special region within the picture, so that you can see directly, which part of the picture will be represented within the Histogram, Waveform, etc. view. This could be indicated by a little circle or something like that. I have seen this feature in Davinci Resolve. There you have the same behavior and i find this feature very helpful because you can see directly, which colors or parts of the picture (low, mids, highs, which colors, etc.) have to be adjusted. Maybe you integrate a little switch in the lower area, where you can already switch on the over/underexposure, focus area, softproof, etc.
