2. Error message pops up

The dt version you use is not up to date, about one year old. Please update to 4.8.1 an check if the issue remains.

I've updated to 4.8.1 and the same issue remains.

The log does not contain debug information of your last two launches with 4.8.0. Please update to 4.8.1 and start dt from the command line with debug option -d common.

Apologies for the delayed response. The info on how to provide the log file on windows does not have instructions for windows 11 users. https://www.darktable.org/about/faq/#faq-windows-logs

I found this file in the C:\Users[user]\AppData\Local\Temp file that the error message references. I'm not sure if this helps.
