Before filing any support requests, please do make sure that you have already contributed the whole raw sample set for your camera under CC0 license to https://raw.pixls.us/ !

Important note: to make sure that darktable can keep on supporting the raw

file format for your camera, please read this post on how/what raw samples you can contribute to ensure that we have the full raw sample set for your camera under CC0 license!

FWIW, I use the M50 via Adobe DNG Conversion and it works well. I need to profile the camera since the profiled noise reduction works so well on the older models.

If anyone is reading this, it appears that we need a few more samples:

Hi, could you please ask a m50 user to provide raw and c-raw in continuous mode? It seems it is 12bits. See p203 in manual. https://www.canon.co.uk/support/consumer_products/products/cameras/digital_slr/eos-m50.html?type=manuals&language= Spasiba

Please only take those two identical shots, with 3:2 crop, no dual-pixel iso, please rename them accordingly, and please upload to https://raw.pixls.us/

On any model, dual ISO in continuous mode is interesting too. Maybe 12 bits also exist on cr2?

LebedevRI commented 5 years ago

@lclevy What about these: https://raw.pixls.us/getfile.php/3377/raw/IMG_0681.CR3 https://raw.pixls.us/getfile.php/3378/raw/IMG_0683.CR3 https://raw.pixls.us/getfile.php/3379/raw/IMG_0692.CR3 https://raw.pixls.us/getfile.php/3380/raw/IMG_0693.CR3

all 14bits. but nowhere in M50 and EOS R it is written about 12 bits in continuous mode.. So do not waste your time. But raw-burst-mode does exist for G5 Mark II and G7 Mark III: "This mode enables fast continuous shooting of RAW images. Useful when you want to choose the best shot taken at exactly the right moment from your captured images. Shots are captured as a single file (roll) with multiple images. You can extract any image from the roll to save it separately "
