Fuji XT-3 raw files show checkerboard in Darkroom view when zoomed to fill #2929

Version: Newest Git Master OS: Arch Linux Camera: Fuji XT-3 File: Raw

A checkerboard overlay can be seen on XT-3 Raw files when in darkroom view. This checkerbard does not effect the output JPEG (or other export). When zoomed in the checkerboard goes away, and is only visible when viewing image full.

You've just hidden the most import things : the history !!!!

Reset image to minimal processing, and below I show the history stack:

history_not_fullscreen history_full

The large checkerboard goes away when Darktable isn't fullscreen. However then there is a fine grid to the image. (as you can see I am looking at XT-3 Raw samples online)

Both image artefacts go away when the image is zoomed in Darktable. And both are visible with all processing turned off (that can be turned off). However the issues isn't as clear than when high contrast is applied to the image.

I have processed other Raw formats, such as Nikon, and Panasonic, but neither cause these issues with Darktable.

Changed demosaicing for zoomed out darkroom mode to PPG. Issue gone. Maybe this should be documented somewhere that x-trans needs this for viewing?

Either way this isn't an issue anymore.
