I recently found out that it is possible to export masks the raster masks used in some modules, by including them as layers in the exported file. The docs page for the export module
(https://darktable-org.github.io/dtdocs/en/module-reference/utility-modules/shared/export/) does not mention the 'store masks' setting. I tested it with a TIFF where I applied a masked exposure module and apparently this will include both the mask and the inverted mask as layers (exported file had three layers in total)
This should be added to the documentation. In addition, I think it would be nice if the docs contained a list of which file formats support exporting masks and which don't.
