Zigbee failure after Core 2023.12.1 update. #16

Closed chadodes closed 8 months ago

chadodes commented 11 months ago

After updating to HA Core 2023.12.1 Zigbee ZHA fails to initialize.

Restoring from backup to 2023.11.3 restores ZHA functionality.

If I have some guidance on which log files you need for diagnostics and where they are, I can provide them.

Try select the last flow control option?

I can confirm deleting and re-creating the entry with the unlabeled radio option selected for flow control will resolve the issue.

darkxst commented 11 months ago

you dont need to delete ZHA, should be sufficient to just use "Migrate Radio" option to reconfigure

I have disconnection since 2023.12.0 !

darkxst commented 11 months ago

@VitorFrost Have you reconfigured ZHA per the above flow control settings?

this seems related: https://github.com/home-assistant/core/issues/105506

@VitorFrost Have you reconfigured ZHA per the above flow control settings?

I am updating here to the latest core update, and will try it.

So I went to ZHA in Devices & Services: image Configure: image Migrate Radio: image Submit: image Migrate to a new radio: image Submit image

But if I select Reconfigure, I only have this options: image manually image EZSP image But got failled to connect on the empty option: image

"Migrate to new radio" wont work when there is an error with existing coordinator. Your second workflow should work though, that is exactly what I did. Perhaps try delete ZHA integration and start fresh? (it should still keep connected devices as they are stored in nvmem on the dongle)

Ok, I found the culprit for the blank option not working, I tried to fix it installing and running the multiprotocol add-on. after uninstalling it, I am prompted with this options: image

darkxst commented 11 months ago

Ok that is expected, Either of the first two options should work.

There hasn't been any activity on this issue recently. To keep our backlog manageable we have to clean old issues, as many of them have already been resolved with the latest updates. Please make sure to update to the latest Home Assistant OS version and check if that solves the issue. Let us know if that works for you by adding a comment 👍 This issue has now been marked as stale and will be closed if no further activity occurs. Thank you for your contributions.
