GPS lock drops when switching to record

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Press the button in upper right corner that starts GPS on demand. Wait until 
GPS is locked.
2. Press record.
3. GPS is turned off (lock lost) for a second as the new Activity is brought 
in. 
4. When it begins recording with the map view, the clock starts ticking yet GPS 
lock needs to be restablished.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
By prestarting the GPS (I'm assuming that's what that button is for), I'd 
expect the GPS lock to stay up while the recording Activity is brought up so 
that the GPS is locked when the clock starts ticking. 

What version of MyTracks are you using? On what version of Android? On what
phone?
2.0.3, 4.1.2 ParanoidAndroid 2.56 R3 on Samsung i927
