Hi.

CANNOT see SD card on my Samsung Note 8, oreo 8.0

Thanks

darshanparajuli commented 6 years ago

I have pushed an update addressing this issue in the beta channel. Please install it and let me know if it works. Thanks!

mwftts commented 6 years ago

Hi,

Thanks for your update, but still not working. I tried to uninstall and reinstall, even didn't promote a window for SD permission request. Do I need check the box to show SD card, or it will be listed automatically?

Thanks

darshanparajuli commented 6 years ago

Does it show on the File Manager's options?

Thanks

mwftts commented 6 years ago

I'm sorry, SD card can be selected on the File Manager's option now. But how can I add the SD card to disk activity as internal storage?

Thanks

darshanparajuli commented 6 years ago

Could you run the following command and send me the output? Also, don't forget to omit any sensitive information if necessary.

adb shell cat /proc/diskstats

Thanks!

Could you run the following command and send me the output? Also, don't forget to omit any sensitive information if necessary.

adb shell cat /proc/diskstats

Thanks!

I can't tell which sd* points to the SD card, as I assumed sdb would be the only other one. Could you run one more command and send me the output?

adb shell cat /proc/partitions

Thanks!

Hi there

I found another issue, there is no activity for internal storage at all. I tried to copy and write some data to internal storage, but both read/write data is 0.

Thanks

darshanparajuli commented 6 years ago

Thanks! I'm working on properly fixing this issue. Hopefully I'll have it fixed on the next update.

OldskoolOrion commented 6 years ago

have the same issue so no point in creating a new one.

on a sidenote : loving your app ! functionality and design. thanks for sharing :-)

have to confirm. on android PIE (aosp extended, samsung galaxy note 3) diskusage stays at zero. did work in oero. same for load average.

well looks liek android really becomming a tighten down plattform. long term this app might become root only to even show the clock. sadly root is getting less and less an option for many... dark times

btw it would be great if we could get info which process is using the disk and how much, if possible sometimes i get huge diskactivity and need to find the perpetrator before he wears my sddisk to death
