We keep going back and forth on this. For now I don't think we really want to migrate any more repos to this syntax until dart-lang itself changes. The urls are really confusing otherwise.
We can't rename an org easily.
Not a huge deal – just nice for consistency.
@sigmundch thoughts?
Imo, the hyphen is actually more consistent though, because its more apparent that its not consistent with something when its sitting right next to it (dart-lang).
I had exactly the same thoughts as Jake, I think it's not worth it at this time. Funny because I normally prefer _ over -.
Long ago someone (seth?) convinced me that names-with-dashes is also the github naming convention, so that is another reason to stick with it. Maybe we should consider migrating all other packages to use dashes instead? :)
No! :-)
Package name aligned with project name makes too much sense. Dart-lang was a mistake. Let's not double down. On Mar 2, 2015 6:50 PM, "sigmundch" notifications@github.com wrote:

Though I feel we've burned too much time on this already :), I will definitely concede that dart-lang
was a poor choice for an Org name. I will take this to my grave.
...and I wasn't digging at @sethladd – much – just trying to avoid being a hobgoblin
:)
GitHub does a good job of redirecting
