It's good that your team is keeping legal and marketing obstacles in mind. Navigating those obstacles and non-coding tasks is just as valid as navigating technical hurdles and adds substantially to the difficulty of your project – which means it will be extra impressive when you pull it off!

what are some challenges you foresee?
We are a bit exposed to regulatory risk. From our research, we believe we are operating within legal limits, however payment platforms may have regulatory obstacles that we have yet to discover.
Our MVP product depends on couple of non-engineering/product related tasks: registering a company in India and opening a bank account in India.
Marketing overseas may be initially difficult. We've had few direct conversations with potential customers and since we aren't physically present (or close) to our initial market, it may be difficult to attract and iterate with customers.
