  • Created community tab

  • Added basic functionality to community tab (ie. tab switching and API calls)
  • Populated recent posts (community tab)
  • Added ability for user to favorite a post, is saved
  • Added connection to Spoonacular API, returns recomendedd recipes for items related to the stored food
  • Also accepts various max macro inputs to constrain recipes.
  • Debugged some issues with new classification model and found more training images

  • Still struggling to figure out iOS picture uploading bug
  • Small issues with community tab favorite/top pages - should be easy fix with another hour or so of effort
  • New classification model not training properly due to issues with model structure - still working to replace deprecated tflearn functions, for example
  • Breaking down the recipes into components on the food page

  • where are you in relation to progress towards product and milestones?
  • Approximately 80% done overall (60% done with progress for this term)
  • We feel good about current location - almost done with all core features and making some solid efforts on starting the stretch features
  • lay out each of the following weeks till end of term with brief goals for each
    • Week 5: finish community tab, get new ML model fully working, integrate Spoontacular into interface, resolve ios bug
    • week 6: Test app with new users and have them interact with community, continue making model improvements and increase training data
    • week 7: Develop stretch features for food recommendations based on goals and history
    • week 8: Write medium article and market copy to tech community
    • week 9: Make final adjustments and test with more users
• briefly summarize any other topics/discussions
  • discussed how we are happier with progress over last couple of weeks
  • recognized need to add a few more features (hence progress on community tab and spoonacular)
