I create a cohesive project that is useful in the realm of education
I learn more about frontend development and implement a few cool designs for new features in our IDE (or at the very least work a bit more on the frontend)
I learn to think more about user experience more and create a product that is easy and intuitive to use
The backend portion that I implement contributes to a new, creative learning experience for new programmers
I make coding more fun and interesting for beginners
Teachers give our project to their students because they think it’s awesome
Students trying our project on their own because they think it will be a fun and helpful way to get started with programming
I implement more complex, original backend logic for our new features since backend is more my strong suit
I make more use of the APIs we are currently using, particularly Codex which can output creative and unique code for each question it is asked
Challenges
My team making our product meaningful for education with new additional features for our IDE
I get stuck on creating new and original backend logic and run out of ideas for possible solutions
Figuring out how to market our product with a more educational lens as part of our pivot
Building additional features that students/teachers will actually want/use for education
Figuring out how to use our Convodex in a way that is more useful/helpful
I’m worried about the complexity of the chatbot in terms of what we want to implement and what we can accomplish with it in only at term
