Administrators report having large numbers of groups makes feature very difficult to use...

Perhaps over 10 groups there is a See All Groups expandable / collapse link?
Mass delete groups button / select check boxes in Edit Groups?
Verify who can / cannot delete Shared groups (see Gary) - Ideal is that nobody except creator, except for Admin override....

Maybe a wiki- or github-style attribution scheme would be useful. If my name appeared (as a tool tip) along with the private shared groups I've created, I'd know that they were mine to edit or delete. Attaching names to creators would help system administrators clear out those groups which were created by folks who no longer work for BSSD.

Yeah, the shared groups for former teachers and admins is a big deal for us since we have significant change year-to-year in staffing. I like the idea of a tooltip ID on group creator on rollover.

Also, the lists for some users (like you or Rebecca or Gay) get so long on the left side that it becomes hard to navigate the other features in the system, or find the right group. That is why I was thinking collapsing / expanding lists on click.
