How big an effect did they find? Is it a smooth curve: the title implies a widespread generality, did they really find that? Or is it statistically pockets of people who are bad at telling when they are wrong, with more of those pockets showing up at the extremes than the center but pockets everywhere (not very surprising, imo) — ok, (2) what is "extreme," Trump used to lead Democrat if I remember right, his views are not an extreme of the same right as free-market capitalists who used to be seen as the other direction from the left.

Or is this as boring as the photo: people who would burn dumpsters for their politics can not tell when they are wrong?
