Further to Issue 41, i've just uninstalled the helm-dash (MELPA) package via the package manager, cloned the master branch, and loaded helm-dash from that; but it's still not providing any candidates for either of the two docsets i've installed ('HTML' and 'CSS').

Hi @flexibeast , could you provide an example of your helm-dash configuration? thanks

flexibeast commented 10 years ago

Sure. What info would you like? i've not made any customisations to what's provided "out of the box". Basically, after my first installation of helm-dash from MELPA, i:

Sorry, i should have added, the value of helm-dash-docsets-path is indeed "~/.docsets".

kidd commented 10 years ago

@flexibeast , I can't reproduce it.

with both docsets active, can you try to type 'css ' and see if all the css results are produced? If not, it's probably some messing up with the paths.

Okay, i found the problem: the Debian sqlite3 package wasn't installed. As soon as i installed that, helm-dash started working. :-) Perhaps add a check for the presence of an sqlite3 binary?

kidd commented 10 years ago

great that you made itt work!

i'll think about the sqlite check, or at least, make it clearer in the readme.

TeMPOraL commented 10 years ago

Please mention (in the Readme) that it requires sqlite3. I initially installed sqlite package, and the mode was not working.

kidd commented 10 years ago

oh, oks. doing it now.

Thanks!
