Access to Google Analytics for Dask.org website #202

Hi Everyone,

I'd like to get access to google analytics information for the dask.org website to help optimize engagement. This is as part of a broader effort to improve the awareness of Dask throughout the community. In particular, we'd ideally like our digital marketing manager Lily Melnyk (lily@coiled.io) to have access so that she can help with SEO strategies to increase traffic and discoverability of content that's on dask.org.

I appreciate that there may be some conerrn around extending this access to non-developers working at for-profit companies, but I think that our incentives are well aligned here, and I'd love to see if we can make a difference by bringing in some different DNA (Lily is a professional who is trained in SEO).

I'm happy to engage on this issue, but if folks want to reach out directly my e-mail address is michele@coiled.io .

Thanks! Michele

I don't have any objections. At a Dask Monthly meeting or some other venue could we ask Lily to present on their findings and/or strategy ?

Absolutely. That's a great way to get everyone's feedback so we can iterate on improvements faster.

Having someone like Lily engaged in the work that @jsignell and I have been doing on the docs would also be super useful.

I'm hearing enough multi-institutional enthusiasm here (with the :+1: s) that I'm going to go ahead and give Lily access to analtyics.google.com for the dask.org assets. I'll also send out an e-mail introducing Lily to Jacob and Julia. I think that you three would enjoy each other. If anyone has any objections please let me know and I'll reverse these actions.

Popping in to say hello 👋

Looking forward to working with folks!

Heads up, I'm also granting @ian-r-rose access. I suspect that folks here don't object to that, but please let me know if they do.
