Dask Mascot

Hi everyone!

It might be fun to have a mascot for Dask, what do you all think?

@MrPowers suggested this while brainstorming -- "The Go programming language has a famous Gopher mascot. The Go swag is amazing because the Gopher can be personified in many different ways. I would love a Dask mascot with a collection of human emotion emojis that I could use in presentations!"

It's an interesting idea, so we thought of raising it here -- How does it sound? Can you see yourself using it? Do you have ideas for the mascot? Any general thoughts around this?

The Coiled team would be happy to work with designers to contribute some ideas, options, etc.

(@rrpelgrim also suggested a name -- "the Dascot")

I am generally a big fan of mascots. A Golang Gopher plushie is very high on my wishlist of things. GitHub also has Mona Lisa the Octocat (which I do have a plushie of).

However, it seems to be larger projects/orgs like programming languages, operating systems and platforms that have mascots. I've not seen many libraries or frameworks with them.

I'm not worried too much about that. For reference, a quick research brought up a wiki list with a few mascots in the computing world, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_computing_mascots However, most of these rather are person-like logos, e.g. Moby Dock of Docker is listed as a mascot but I've never seen it being used like Gopher or Mona Lisa.

I'd vote for a bird over a boat cause it's easier to personify different emotions.

Can we make it a multi-brained creature to represent its parallel though processes? 😆
