It's a good question. We aren't currently asking for permission. If someone were to be concerned about it then I would probably point to your tweet, explain the intent, and then remove the logo.
Do you think that anyone will be concerned about this? If so, I'm more than happy to wait on this.

I don't think you need to worry about this with conda-forge's. This is just something we've run into and so have waited for some form of written approval when doing this kind of thing. I'm happy to have the tweet act as written permission.
