My Das 5QS keyboard is connected to a KVM. The KVM is connected to two MacBooks Pros (Intel and M1). When I switch between computers, the Das Keyboard Q software on the Intel reconnects, on the M1 the software does not. The only solution is to stop the daskeyboardq service which causes the connection to be reestablished.
launchctl stop com.daskeyboardq.service
I suspect the culprit is the Rosetta emulation under which the service is running. A native M1 port of the Das Keyboard Q software I presume will address this behavior.
It really shouldn't be that hard to build the software for native Apple silicon.
It's too bad you all won't just open source the software. Poor support and crappy software. You want to develop a community keyboard, then let the community improve it. I returned the keyboard.
