Issue with 4Q connecting in Q-software #82

Having issues with my 4Q that refuses to connect to the Q-software, without having to reboot the computer.....

If I click back and forth to the dashboard-page a few times a Q5 is listed as "disconnected" (I've never owned a Q5 in my life though.

This is really frustrating. Do you have a fix planned for this? Unplugging\replugging the USB-cables doesn't make any difference. The only thing that SOMETIMES helps is rebooting the entire computer. It will then work until the next time the computer goes into hibernation\sleep, and you'll have to repeat the process again.

I am having the exact same issue. I have tried everything that I can think of:

Uninstalled and Reinstalled the Q Software. Tried three sets of USB ports. Added a new USB3.0 card to my device and those don't detect either.

What is really strange is I can see the Windows 10 Event Logs and I show where the "keyboard" is detected but it still shows up as 2 or 4 HID keyboards using the keyboard.inf driver.

I am still looking for a fix here so if I run across it, I'll be sure and share.

Have you attempted to reinstall the Firmware? When I first installed my 4Q Keyboard it was acting the way you are describing and was originally recognized as a different device by the Q program. https://www.daskeyboard.io/get-started/firmware/ If you lookin the lower left of there is a section for the 4Q specifically. You will be prompted with a warning stating that running the program may harm your device but so long as you are using a 4Q and not just a 4 you can trek along without a worry.

The install fixed my disconnecting issues and fixed my RGB config. Hope this helps.

Hi, Is there a solution to this problem? My 4q has stopped working correctly. Keyboard goes dark and q software says it is disconnected. I managed to get it back once by removing power to the pc. I have reinstalled the firmware (took a few attempts. I kept getting LED firmware error) but the issue remains.

Thanks

Hi VadymBezpalko,

I ended up following this procedure, plus I also deleted the das-keyboard-q folders in the user directory (after you uninstall the das-keyboard-q and das-keyboard-q version 3.3.2 software, go to "C:\Users*****\AppData" and search for das and delete the local and roaming das-keyboard-q folders).

So far so good for me

Having the same issue with my just bought 4Q and even with the suggested tips it does not want to work. Anyone got another suggestion

I am now on my personal device, windows was messing around with the driver at first, causing it to rapidly spam connect/disconnect and the "Issue with last USB device" warning whilst doing the firmware update step causing the keyboard to go fully dead, but after a reboot it worked (and could be recovered)
