warning registry query failed... #2

I'm seeing the error 'warning registry query failed' quite a bit from biodalliance. Is this a fault or just the registry being busy?

This error can appear if the registry is being a little slow to respond and you navigate away from a page while the query is still in flight.

The error is mostly for diagnostic purposes, and probably shouldn't use an alert box. I'll change that it the next release.

Actually I have seen this appear to be associated with a registry popup that was empty...

Yes, if the registry queries fail then the "add track" view will be sparsely-populated.

It seems to be working okay for me at the moment. Next time you see this, could you try accessing the registry directly?

I guess I should say I'm in the US right now, so that might be something todo with it...

As of 0.5.2a, we no longer give a warning when registry XHRs fail. Instead, there's a message which appears in the add track UI.
