Gifs can be used to tastily demonstrate using each of the tools. Like is becoming standard in many repos. But could do it with UIs too.
And, I think "dormant" gifs (slow, mostly not moving, but do something fast) can convey meaning really well. For transformer, I tried to shoddily approximate that feeling with the transformer gif in http://transform.datadex.io -- a much more appropriate version would be a gif that shows a stationary document, which suddenly transitions formats (with the data (in colors?) re-arranging).
