For the protobuf commit schema, would it make sense to just store a 'metadata' string that is decoded by the application? (edit: instead of 'author', 'message', etc..)

@karissa the graph just stores a binary value. the schema will live in the application (dat) so i think that accomplishes the same thing

@waldoj there were two things, the docs link on the website was broken -- that is fixed now. it points at https://github.com/datproject/docs. the other issue is the new docs repo needs content, we haven't written dat 1.0 docs yet
