Project Roadmap

This are high level, major goals for the project. Not really chronologically ordered. Goals aren't limited to the Dat repo itself but for the overall project as a whole.

• dat beta
• dathub alpha
• Stable version of Datscript/Datfile, hackfile and Gasket
• Make Docker super easy to use with Dat/Gasket
• Complete case studies on our pilot science use cases
• "Try Dat Now" button on dat-data.com that spawns a real dat in a docker container and uses tty.js
• Turn-key Dat hosting infrastructure modules (open source, docker based)
• Nodewebkit/Atom Shell based Native dat webapp (e.g. Dat Desktop Edition)

I have used both and atom-shell is far better. Comparison.

stuff that wont go in the dat beta but might go in later:

• better auth
• dat external table sync API
• potentially add docker-run and gasket/datscript into dat
• refactor dat commands into submodules (e.g. dat-import that uses dat-core)
• have require('dat') be the high level distribution of everything (maybe including Datscript etc)
