Proposed topic:

So add your questions to this issue or just bring them this Thursday! See you there 😎

I wish I could participate, but I have conflicting meetings at work.

I would like to share more of the work going on Rust and datrs, and ask for feedback on some of the architectural changes we would need to do to port the Node versions. I'm not sure if that is the right public, as it requires some Rust knowledge

There is an open issue on my prototype tracking the design suggestion - https://github.com/bltavares/colmeia/issues/2

dpaez commented 4 years ago

Hey @bltavares, good to see you around 👋 If you can't make this week, I can at least announce anything for you, like some of the efforts you are doing and/or the plans you have for datrs or any Dat/Hyper rust endeavour. I think promoting/mentioning this in a comm-comm meeting it's a good start to find others who think alike and maybe can help. So feel free to add more info or details in this issue if you can't make it and I will mention that.

Finally, next week, we have a comm-comm meeting on a different timezone (Japan) and maybe that suits you better. :v:

If there is still time left, I'd like to share my progress on y-dat. I'm working on a Yjs extension for sharing document updates with the dat-sdk. Yjs is a CRDT implementation that supports many existing (rich)text editors like ProseMirror, Quill, CodeMirror, ..

Hey @dmonad we will make time :) It would be great to hear about the latest on CRDT and dat, now hyper. See you on Thursday! :v:

I think @sammacbeth was doing a thing with y.js which he presented at the last comm comm! :O

dmonad commented 4 years ago

Awesome! I'm following his project closely. Too bad I missed it. Is there a recording?

RangerMauve commented 4 years ago

Starting in a few mins. 😁

@dmonad I think there's just the meeting notes in this repo.
