What's your suggestion?

I was wondering why the book ends suddenly with Chapter 28. There is no Epilogue section like in HtDP. Students who are learning from the book alone should be given pointers on what they can possibly navigate in the world of CS. Some books/ domains of CS. Maybe some seminal works or blogs they can read, assuming the readers majorly are first timers to programming and CS.

From the discord server, an user has a similar opinion. I am quoting it below:

_Another thing:

I know this book is based on teaching at Brown where students have guidance from advisors about which course/topic to study next after taking DCIC based courses if they wish to study CS. But the book ends on a rather sad note where no such guidance is provided.

The book is like: Okay, I taught you how to design programs in the correct manner... SILENCE after that. Now what do I do with it? Talking from POV of first timers.

Better if a concluding section was there where major fields inside CS were summarised in one paragraphs each, maybe, and tell us how the thing we learnt in DCIC relates to that domain. Or if not,, why not?

I understand CS is VAAAAST. But still. Atleast the foundational subjects deserve a mention. A guidance basically for people with no help._
