This suggestion is about including Projects to dos at the end of major sections in the book. Of course, these projects should be optional and the next section shouldn't be dependent on them.
These medium to large size projects will help the students to design things from scratch maybe with a little handholding and make them feel what they are learning is being used to build some considerable-sized software.
