Parse the following document and other source of information into a spreadsheet or JSON file(s) that describe the bio.tools models.

https://github.com/bio-tools/biotoolsSchema/blob/master/stable/biotools.xsd

Tried opening the above file with Schema Viewer but this tool is not working.

Biotools XSD file indicates that they are using altova to create this file. Altova is not an open source or free tool and works only on Windows.

Milen recommended to convert this XSD file ideally to JSON-LD that has nice tools to visualize the data. An alternative format that he mentioned is JSON Schema.

Here is a JSON version of the XSD file. This file is in master but not included in any releases: https://github.com/bio-tools/biotoolsSchema/blob/master/json/biotools.json

Update

The data schema of bio.tools is maybe the most comprehensive data schema reviewed. The data schema of the tool registry will be large inspired from bio.tools data schema, in particular for the ability to explore the tools using biomedical related annotations.
