Add links to the docs, cleanup readme #6

@Deguerre Would appreciate your comments on this change. Also it would be nice to provide a bit more information about what Gossamer is in the README, and if there are some links to relevant papers etc.

Yes, we need more info in the README. I'm sure that someone will have some time to write that soon...
